Description:

This Research Methodology course aims to provide students with knowledge, understanding, and application of various research methods in the context of preparing Thesis Final Project (TAS) or Non-Thesis Final Project (TABS). This course is a prerequisite and must be taken for all students. In the lectures, various types of research are discussed, the steps of scientific research starting from determining the topic, identifying problems, reviewing the literature, determining the focus of the problem, determining variables, designs and methods, data collection techniques, analysis, and concluding. Learning activities include lectures with various approaches and methods that involve students a lot, such as discussions, field observations to learn to identify problems, and the practice of making pre-proposals. This course is given with a balanced composition between theory and practice. Evaluation is done through written tests, structured assignments, and student participation in class.
